In the world of pickup trucks, power, speed, and performance are critical factors that can set one apart from the rest. Two of the latest contenders in this space are the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and Ford F-150 Raptor R, which recently went head-to-head in a drag race that left truck enthusiasts anxious for more.

The GMC Hummer EV Pickup is the first electric vehicle from the American automaker, and it certainly doesn't disappoint in terms of performance. With three electric motors delivering a combined output of 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque, the Hummer EV proved to be a formidable opponent for the F-150 Raptor R.

The Ford F-150 Raptor R is no slouch either, with a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine producing 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque. It's the most powerful Raptor ever produced and offers high-speed off-road capabilities.

In the drag race, the Hummer EV Pickup accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just three seconds, while the F-150 Raptor R takes around 5.1 seconds to achieve the same speed. However, things even out once the race gets going, with the two trucks remaining close throughout most of the run.

At the end of the quarter-mile stretch, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup emerges victorious, crossing the line in 11.5 seconds at 122.9 mph. The Ford F-150 Raptor R finishes the race in 12.9 seconds at 105.9 mph.

Overall, the race highlights the growing significance of electric vehicles in the automotive industry and the strides that they're making in terms of performance. It also shows that traditional gas-powered vehicles still have a place in the market with their own power and speed.

In the end, whether you're a fan of electric vehicles or gas-powered trucks, it's hard to deny that the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and Ford F-150 Raptor R are both impressive in their own right.
