Mark Hogan, a former executive at both Toyota and General Motors who played a crucial role in bridging the gap between the US and Japanese automotive industries, passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 66. Hogan was a pioneer in the auto industry, having worked for both Toyota and GM for over three decades. During his time in the industry, he served in a variety of top-level positions at both companies, including leading the development of the Chevrolet Volt and serving on the board of directors for Toyota.

Hogan was best known for his ability to bring together the best of American innovation with the Japanese dedication to quality and reliability.
