The Detroit Auto Show, also known as the North American International Auto Show, announced that it plans to make a comeback in 2023 after a four-year hiatus. The event, which has traditionally been held in January, shifted its focus to outdoor events in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but organizers are now looking to return to an indoor format.

However, the question remains: which automakers can the show lure back? In recent years, many automakers have opted out of traditional auto shows to focus on their own events or digital launches. In fact, several major companies such as Tesla, Porsche, and Volvo have never participated in the Detroit Auto Show.

That being said, organizers remain optimistic about the show's future, citing the city's history and importance in the automotive industry as key factors. Additionally, Detroit's prime location in the Midwest and close proximity to major automakers such as Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler make it an ideal location for showcasing new vehicles and technologies.

While it remains to be seen which automakers will commit to the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, organizers are confident that a combination of the city's auto legacy and a return to an indoor format will help attract top participants and put the Motor City back on the map as a premier Auto Show destination.
