The BMW Touring Coupe concept car debuted at the 2021 Munich Motor Show, and there are rumors that it may see limited production.
The Touring Coupe features a sleek design with a long hood and a distinctive rear end. It has a low-slung, sporty profile with a flowing silhouette and a wide stance. The futuristic concept car has a full-electric powertrain and is built on BMW's new platform for electric vehicles.
While BMW has not officially announced any plans for production, there have been reports that the company may build a limited number of Touring Coupes for enthusiasts. If this is true, the Touring Coupe would likely be a high-priced, low-volume model that would showcase BMW's latest technology and design.
The Touring Coupe could be part of BMW's plan to expand its electric vehicle lineup. The company has already introduced the iX and i4, and it plans to launch several more electric vehicles in the coming years. BMW is also investing heavily in battery technology and plans to have solid-state batteries in some of its vehicles by the end of the decade.
While the Touring Coupe may not be a mass-market model, it could be an important step for BMW in demonstrating its commitment to electric vehicles and showcasing its design capabilities. Whether or not the Touring Coupe goes into production, it is an impressive concept car that is sure to turn heads.
