All-New Cadillac Optiq EV Makes World Debut In China

The all-new Cadillac Optiq EV has made its world debut in China, showcasing General Motors' commitment to electrification. The sleek and modern electric vehicle was unveiled at the 19th International Automobile Industry Exhibition in Guangzhou, China.

The Cadillac Optiq EV is built on General Motors' advanced Ultium platform, which is designed to enable faster and more efficient charging, longer ranges, and high-performance driving dynamics. It is powered by a single electric motor delivering up to 184 kW of horsepower and 440 Nm of torque, which provides quick acceleration and seamless power delivery.

The new EV features a spacious interior with luxury amenities and smart technology. The cabin is designed to provide a comfortable and quiet ride, while the advanced infotainment system ensures that drivers stay connected on the road.

The Cadillac Optiq EV is equipped with advanced safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and forward collision alert. It also has a variety of driver assistance technologies, such as adaptive cruise control and automatic parking assist.

According to General Motors, the all-new Cadillac Optiq EV will be available in China in the first half of 2022. It is part of General Motors' effort to introduce 30 fully electric vehicles globally by 2025, with plans to make Cadillac an all-electric brand by 2030.

The debut of the all-new Cadillac Optiq EV in China underscores the growing demand for electric vehicles in this market. China is the world's largest market for EVs, with rapidly increasing sales and government support for electrification. General Motors' investment in electrification and its new Ultium platform demonstrate its commitment to meeting this demand and positioning itself as a leader in the global EV market.
